Great tips and thank you for your honesty. I agree. I started a low carb lifestyle nearly 14? wks ago and totally love it. I've learned to be a way better cook, and my kids are totally LOVING the food. They gobble up all this great stuff, whereas, before, they were okay with my cooking. They LOVE my cooking now.

Hi Medinaindira My husband can lose weight on 150 carbs a day. I find that I can not go over 40 grams of real carbs which are vegetables, berries, (no grains or anything that contains? any sugar) without starting to gain. If you read Atkins, which you can find in second hand book stores, if cost is a factor, you will find that he starts you out low and you add back slowly. Low carb works and it's really easy once you start the lifestyle. I am never hungry.

The 125 grams of carbs is for maintaining your weight or for losing weight. If for maintaining can you tell me how much? we should consume to lose weight. I started the low carb diet but don't know how low or high I should go on carbs. Thanks in advance.

thank you for doing the research, and understanding this lifestyle, this is the only lifestyle that improves my total health, and I am under a doctor's care, I have my blood work done almost every 2 months, weight loss happens when I stick to plan-clean eating, back to the kitchen, preparing your food, I have? a blog also, "controlling the carb monster"-keep up the good word..there is such a misunderstanding, I thank you-:)

if that diet worked for you, it's because you either ate clean, followed what you had to do, and dietary-wise (was just the right diet for you? personal needs). to say atkins is the best, is a play on ignorance. The word "Carbs" should be tied with the word "Quality" because it's all about the Quality of the Carbs you consume; and type obviously.. and when you consume it.. and wether or not it's linked to your genetics preference for energy..

Thanks for this...you have researched and know your stuff. I did Atkins for abt a year and I lost 30 lbs in 3? month. It worked super fast and ppl couldn't believe it. I'm not on it currently but know I can always go back to it when needed. It truly is the best diet besides weight watchers. What other diet can you have steak and pork rinds? Lol. Till this day,if bread comes with a meal I don't eat it. It did teach me habits,good ones . I noticed when I started to consume more carbs,I would gain
